The basic instrumentation contains an embedded computer including webserver, ensuring reliable instrument control. Communication through the user interface is system- and location-independent using web browser software (eg. Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, MS Internet Explorer). Point-to-point, intranet and internet connection are possible through TCP/IP.
The integrated computer saves the collected data in real time, preventing thus any loss of information. Data is saved as comma delimited files (*.csv), which allows application-independent evaluation. The computer automatically generates files containing the raw data, as well as compressed files that were internally processed (averaged, noise subtracted).
The main advantages are:
- Reliability
- Interface available through web server / no local installation required
- Web browser connects to client via TCP/IP
